Here is a little background information on this beautiful performance,
to inspire deeper appreciation. All 21 of the dancers are complete deaf-mutes.
Relying only on signals from trainers at the four corners of the stage, these
extraordinary dancers deliver a visual spectacle that is at once
intricate and stirring. Its first major international debut was in
Athens at the closing ceremonies for the 2004 Paralympics.
But it had long been in the repertoire of the China Disabled People’s
Performing Art Troupe and had traveled to more than 40 countries.
Its lead dancer is 29-year-old Tai Lihua, who has a BA from The Hubei
Fine Arts Institute. The video was recorded in Beijing during the Spring
Festival celebrations this year.

Perhaps we can consider some other implications of this “divine” expression.
So many different streams of spiritual thought have represented modern society as being at a critical “crossroads” placing humanity at the brink of either a “doomsday”, or at the onset of a glorious new age. One positive view points to the present as the dawn of “Sat Yuga”, a time of heaven on earth. If that is the case, then it would be the time when the “angels” would come down on earth, or when humanity would rise to a level of purity in life, such that perception of the more celestial values, and all forms of expression of divinity, would become visible to souls on earth who have risen to higher states of consciousness. It is always uplifting to see signs which support the more appealing of two scenarios, so let’s enjoy the vision which gave rise to this earthly performance of Quan Yin’s dance.
