Ramona and SD, 2014, ’67 Conde Hermanos Memories

Ramona and North San Diego county area, in February, 2014, with a cast of dozens and featuring Carol Brown. Background guitar is a 1967 Conde Hermanos, improvised and played by John Brown. (Be sure and maximize the view, by clicking in bottom right corner of video.)

The Conde Hermanos is a beautiful “blanca” guitar (spruce top, cypress sides and back, all solid woods) from Spain, which I acquired in 1971. I played it until 1981 when I quit playing guitar, and took up piano, and keyboards for electronic music composition. I did not touch guitar again until just recently, 5 months ago. Responding to an irresistible buzz, I have discovered a new total obsession for Flamenco guitar. I forgot most everything I knew 35 years ago, so my playing is rusty, but improving with lots of practice. Keep posted to see and hear progress going forward.

The Immortal Bridge, Mt Tai, (China)

Mt Tai

Mount Tai in the Shandon Province of China has had cultural and religious significance for thousands of years. It is one of the five sacred mountains of China and is associated with the dawn, birth and renaissance. As you progress up the mountain you will come across this – The Immortal Bridge. This Bridge is composed of three huge rocks and several smaller ones. Below it is a valley and to the south is a seemingly bottomless abyss. No one knows quite when these enormous rocks fell into their current place but it is quite likely they have been like this since the last ice age
